FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE – Tidewater Arts Outreach presents the Jae Sinnett Trio in Portsmouth
(Portsmouth) – Tidewater Arts Outreach is excited to announce local jazz favorite Jae Sinnett and his trio in concert to the Portsmouth Senior Station in late July. A Navy veteran and Norfolk State University alum, Jae Sinnett is one of Tidewater’s preeminent figures in the jazz community. As a drummer and composer, Jae has produced over 15 albums to critical acclaim and performed with some of the greatest names in jazz such as Chuck Mangione and Branford and Ellis Marsalis. He has written over 250 compositions and scored music for 5 documentaries. For over 30 years, Jae has been the producer and host of Sinnett in Session, the late-night jazz show on WHRV-FM 89.5. In 2018, Jae was awarded the Scott Willis Jazz Impact Award and in 2020 he was awarded the Duke Dubois Jazz Humanitarian Award. He has also been nominated several times for Jazz Programmer of the Year. Jae’s full biography can be found here. The Jae Sinnett Trio’s performance at the Portsmouth Senior Station is Wednesday, July 27 at 2:30pm-4pm.
