Kelly Sokol’s forthcoming novel Breach will be published in May 2022. Her debut novel, The Unprotected, was named one of Book Riot’s 100 Must Read Books on Pregnancy, Childbirth and Motherhood.  In 2018, Sokol was awarded a National Parks Arts Residency. She received an MFA from Goddard College’s Creative Writing program in 2014. Her work has appeared in Alpinist, Ultrarunning Magazine, The Manifest-Station, Connotation Press, and more, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She teaches creative writing at the Muse Writers Center in Norfolk, Virginia.
