Her debut novel, The Unprotected, was named one of Book Riot’s 100 Must Read Books on Pregnancy, Childbirth and Motherhood.  In 2018, Sokol was awarded a National Parks Arts Residency. She received an MFA from Goddard College’s Creative Writing program in 2014. Her work has appeared in Alpinist, Ultrarunning Magazine, The Manifest-Station, Connotation Press, and more, and has been nominated for a Pushcart Prize. She teaches creative writing at the Muse Writers Center in Norfolk, Virginia.

Entertainment professional Charlie O’Dowd spent 40 years in varied artistic pursuits - as a jazz singer, audio book narrator, commercial voice talent, filmmaker and stage actor. He was primarily a filmmaker with 35 years working on Hollywood films. Acapella Serenade - songs from Broadway to Disney to Ella Fitzgerald - hit tunes to entertain any audience - plus stories from working with Hollywood stars. And I have a kid show with interactions for schools, libraries and hospitals.
