  • A Spoon Full of Sugar: Celebrating Food in Music w/Jena Chenkin

    Description:

    Violist Jena Chenkin is accomplished on both violin and viola and is a member of The Williamsburg Symphonia. She also teaches violin at the Academy of Music in Norfolk. Her program "A Spoon Full of Sugar" engages participants by asking them to name the song and the food mentioned in the song as well as any memories they may have of the song or the food. The song title list includes; Don’t Sit Under the Apple Tree, Tea for Two, Beer Barrel Polka, Yes! We have No Bananas, Habanera, Blueberry Hill, That’s Amore, Life is just a bowl of Cherries, Turkey in the Straw, Mairzy Doats, Summertime, Tarantella #1, A Spoonful of Sugar, Chattanooga Choo Choo, High Hopes, Take Me Out to the Ball Game and more.

  • Soulful Senior Sing-along with Zach Bridges

    Description:

    Singer/pianist Zach Bridges plays soul, gospel, R&B and hits from the 60's to get participants singing, moving and grooving to popular music from a bygone era.

  • Healing Harp Music with Karen Stowe

    Description:

    Harpist Karen Stowe plays her pedal and Celtic harps. She is a soprano and she also is a Certified Music Practitioner. Her programs are relaxing, engaging and beautifully moving. The vibration of the harp strings, and their lovely tones, can be felt and heard far beyond the room where she plays.
