    Description:

    Harpist Karen Stowe plays her pedal and Celtic harps. She is a soprano and she also is a Certified Music Practitioner. Her programs are relaxing, engaging and beautifully moving. The vibration of the harp strings, and their lovely tones, can be felt and heard far beyond the room where she plays.

    Description:

    Ryan Clemens is an actor, director, playwright, teacher, and Mark Twain enthusiast.  As Virginia Stage Company's Resident Theatre Artist, he has performed both on the main stage and in a variety of touring shows, classes and workshops.   Among his greatest passions is his one-man show Meet Mark Twain.

  • Modern Dance program w/Beauty for Ashes

    Description:

    Beauty for Ashes is a professional dance company based in Hampton that uses dance and theatre to engage program participants, regardless of age or background. Dancers invite audience members to watch some of their prepared dance and theater pieces. Then, audience members are encouraged to actively participate in creating original movements of their own. The company incorporates those movements into an original piece which reflects the creativity of program participants.

  • Apropos: Female A Cappella Quartet

  • Sea to Shining Sea: A Musical Journey Across America w/Jena Chenkin

    Description:

    Violist Jena Chenkin is accomplished on both violin and viola and is a member of The Williamsburg Symphonia. She also teaches violin at the Academy of Music in Norfolk. Her Sea to Shining Sea program engages participants by asking them to name the song and the state mentioned in the song as well as any memories they may have of the song or state. The song title list includes favorites like: My Old Kentucky Home, Chattanooga Choo Choo, Over the Rainbow, California Here I Come, Carolina in the Morning, Georgia on My Mind, Theme From New York New York, Charleston, Sweet Georgia Brown, The Yellow Rose of Texas, Shenandoah, Carry Me Back to Old Virginny and more.
